In Sweden, Vattenfall Värme delivers district heating, district cooling, and steam to industries, property owners, and residential customers in fifteen municipalities. We provide sustainable heating to around 200,000 Swedish households and heat, cooling, and steam to industrial customers. We actively work according to a clear plan to reduce fossil emissions in our cities, our own heat production, and from our suppliers, with the goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. About the Role

Are you a proactive person who easily adapts to new conditions? Do you want to be part of the journey towards a fossil-free society with us? We are now looking for a person for a shift position as an Operations Technician for our operations in Motala.

About the Position

As a shift Operations Technician, you will be part of a team of eight people working in a modern environment. The job involves operating the facilities optimally, performing operator maintenance, and solving problems in the facilities as needed. Our base load boilers are fueled with solid fuel and biofuel.

Your tasks will also include participating in revision, investment, and development projects. Currently, we apply a 2-shift system with periods of daytime work and on-call duty where solo work (monitoring) occurs. When performing your work with us, safety, environment, energy, and economy are always in mind. It is important that you live in Motala or nearby, as we have response times during on-call duty.

Requirements

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with relevant education in the field. Certification as an Operations Technician is an advantage. We prefer that you have experience from operating facilities in smaller operational organizations and maintenance work. Experience with on-call duty, solid fuel, and power production is advantageous. Courses in occupational safety, safety work, environmental training, refrigeration training, etc., are also advantageous. Experience with and knowledge of electrical installations is a plus.

As a person, you are stable and have the ability to adapt to emerging situations responsibly. Furthermore, you are proactive and driven by a results-oriented approach.

For the role, it is important that you are communicative and value collaboration along with a strong safety mindset. Your working style is structured, your communication is clear, and you have the ability to solve problems. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. A B driver's license is a requirement.
